Born and brought up in Kirkcaldy Emma studied Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and later went on to complete a masters at Edinburgh College of Art.

This exhibition is a series of mixed media sculptures created by Emma specifically for this exhibition at The Steeple. She has used a variety of material to seek inspiration. A few include; human behaviour, anachronism, folklore, outsider art, shape shifting, horror films, melodrama, artificial paradises, hypnogogic states, ectoplasmic beings, psychokinesis, surrealist methods, domestic pets, architectural structures, fragmented body parts, transformation fetish and traditional modes of sculpture.
