The Space
Booking Form The Space is ~ 8m x 10m with a high ceiling. It's perfect for exhibitions, intimate concerts, classes & film shows. It has excellent acoustics, picture hanging rails, spot lighting & a retractable film screen. It features original internal balcony, arched windows & cast iron radiators of its previous life at the Town Hall yet has a modern feel.
The Space is currently £7.50 per hour / £45 per day £90 per weekend and £150 per 7 day week. to hire. Book The SpaceThe Steeple is not normally open to the public and the Project Space is open to the public only when there is an event on. We are however happy to offer a tour of the facilities if this is requested in advance - please use the details at the bottom of the page. For Art Exhibitions... We have j-rods for hanging pictures and 3 glass cabinets. We do not offer an invigilating service. There will be no charge for the time you need to hang the exhibition ( generally half a day), UNLESS someone else is wanting to book that time, in which case we will charge a nominal £15 to reserve that time for you.
For Concerts... We do not have a P.A. system. We do have 2 small portable stages.
For Workshops... We have 6 6ft x 2 ft tables, plenty of chairs and a kitchen off the project space.
For Art Classes... We have ~10 easels and also a wind through rollers type press,which we will hire out for £15 a day with the client providing their own materials, rollers, inks, paper etc.
The project space is upstairs, but there is a lift. Parking on the High Street is restricted to half an hour, but there is parking in Whitecraigs Road, behind the Steeple.
The promoting of your event is your responsibility, however we will happily put your publicity information in our monthly e-mail newsletter, and if you provide posters will will distribute them around Newburgh. The Fife Herald and Perth Advertiser offer free adverts for local events. Once you have booked the space please check the calendar to make sure the booking and information is correct.
If you are selling tickets, Twist Fibre Craft ,( opposite The Steeple), will hold some to sell for you if you would like.

The Steeple opened in 2007 offering affordable art studios, a residency flat with its own studio for visiting artists and a project space which can be booked for classes, workshops, performances and exhibitions. The Wasps Trust and Wasps' Artists Studios developed the venture, the first of its kind in Fife, in partnership with local charity SteepleArts. CalendarBy 2011 at least 5 Artists in Residence have chosen to relocate to Newburgh after sampling its delights... others return frequently, often harbouring similar desires.
