Colin McEwan & Roddy Johnston with The North Craigs Party Band

Colin McEwan
A pair of recent blow-ins to North Fife, Colin and Roddy ran into one another in a session in The Bear one Tuesday evening last year. Each with a clutch of idiosyncratic songs, they decided to team up. What started as a duet then blossomed into a full blown band at a party one night. Featuring guitars, fiddles, flute, sax, and bass, this really will be a night of fun and dancing at The Steeple.

The Accelerators

Since forming in 1995, The Accelerators have developed into highly respected exponents of American Roots music - rock and roll, Rockabilly, R n B and Country, all played with a passion second to none.

We are no mere imitators though, we have our own sound, and material. We dig it and we think you will too! We have released four albums to date, all had airtime on radio.

Steeple All Stars

£8 at door / £6 advance (children 1/2 price)

In December 2011, 26 local performers entertained the audience in possibly the most successful concert of the 2011 season. Featuring 26 local musicians in 12 acts, it was Sold Out, & made over £300 for SteepleArts. Most acts did just 5 minutes. Local youngsters went down particularly well.
Steeple All Stars

A sensational spontaneous Session followed at the Bear Tavern in a fitting end to the night.

You can contact Dave Ford now, If you wish to be included in 2012 - & that would probably be sensible! Spots could be as short as 5 mins – a single song.

The concert is timed to finish shortly after 10.00 to allow for networking & sessions so running order will be fairly strict. You are advised to have 1 good song with 1 or 2 more in reserve. It's helpful if you need minimal set up. Mics will be provided but it's kinda cool & fits the intimate Steeple space if you can do without.

No acts have so far registered interest. As soon as they do, they'll get a wee photo on this page & a position in a dynamic running order which will undoubtedly change over the year. Thank you for your interest!

The June 2012 Steeple concert will showcase local youngsters in particular in the ‘Steeple YoungStars'. Get practicing!
