Individuals & bands are welcome. You can encourage others by letting us have a picture of your youngster, if you commit them to playing for us. Please contact Dave Ford to register your interest or for any more details. Hopefully, a bank of pictures of our forthcoming entertainment will lead to another Sell Out at the Steeple. The four above were the hightlight of the Steeple AllStars at the Steeple in Dec 2011 firmly trumping all the adults. Places may be limited due to fire regulation numbers. |

the collective talents of two of Scotland's most innovative and captivating duos... |

The Halton Quartet are the perfect group for the intimate Steeple atmosphere. Their mischievous air, obvious love of their craft & mastery of their instruments at such an age leaves one slightly stunned. Dave Ford |

| Angus Lyon and Ruaridh Campbell “This accordion/piano & fiddle/viola duo's gorgeous tunes offer compelling, absorbing listening. Their clear respect for Scottish folk tradition combines so beautifully with the classical, contemporary and jazz genres. You detect a Piazzolla influence here, a Breton folk touch there… two of Scotland 's most exciting young musical innovators.” – The Living Tradition | |||||

'Superb intimate jazzy song stylings with an unmistakeable wit & wisdom' 'The ultimate laid back headline jazz act' 'Chilled rootsy blues with a Sly Jazz undercurrent': From rough edged hard blues to poignant jazz ballads, Floozie Soo invite you to enter their embrace where the music offers an intimacy and warmth that lie between rootsy and classy. Elegant jazz refrains merge effortlessly with smokey vocal expressions and delicate clarinet solos mix it up with bluesy chord progressions. Original songs that explore the rich and subtle relationships between jazz and blues. |
The Floozies will be supported by some talented young local, soloists & groups. Dave Ford teaches youngsters & forms bands with them. He's as keen to show off this talent as his band, so at least 1/3 of the evening will be from local youngsters. Don't be mislead. These may be the highlight of your night… not that the Floozies are an easy act to trump… The Floozies are no slouches, but fully expect to be upstaged by the kids! |

| In December 2011, 26 local performers entertained the audience in possibly the most successful concert of the 2011 season. Featuring 26 local musicians in 12 acts, it was Sold Out, & made over £300 for SteepleArts. Most acts did just 5 minutes. Local youngsters went down particularly well. |
The concert is timed to finish shortly after 10.00 to allow for networking & sessions so running order will be fairly strict. You are advised to have 1 good song with 1 or 2 more in reserve. It's helpful if you need minimal set up. Mics will be provided but it's kinda cool & fits the intimate Steeple space if you can do without. No acts have so far registered interest. As soon as they do, they'll get a wee photo on this page & a position in a dynamic running order which will undoubtedly change over the year. Thank you for your interest! |

The June 2012 Steeple concert will showcase local youngsters in particular in the ‘Steeple YoungStars'. Get practicing! |
